a heartfelt journey of outreach activities in the Kayonza district, nestled in the Eastern region of
Rwanda. These endeavors were driven by our unwavering commitment to our mission of
empowering individuals with disabilities through educational programs, vocational training, and
community outreach.
Our outreach efforts primarily focused on the sectors of Rwinkwavu and Murama, where we
aimed to make a significant impact in the lives of those living with disabilities. We are delighted
to report that during these outreach missions, we had the privilege of identifying 37 remarkable
children, each with their unique abilities and challenges. These young souls include 5 who are
deafblind, 7 who are blind, 16 who are deaf, and 9 who grapple with deafness and low vision.
These remarkable children have been welcomed into the warm embrace of the FHR family and
are now considered as potential candidates for our future support programs. As we continue on
our journey towards creating a community in which people with disabilities can grow their
talents, share the love of God, and build a future full of opportunities, we remain committed to
providing them with the educational, vocational, and community support they need to thrive.
The unveiling of these young talents represents a significant milestone in our pursuit of a more
inclusive and empowered society. It is a testament to the transformative power of compassion,
education, and community engagement. We are eager to witness the growth and development
of these children and look forward to a future where their talents shine brightly and their dreams
become reality.
